We conducted an online study on behalf of practice technology leader ModMed, surveying 2,000 Americans, including 1,500 with health insurance and 500 without.
The research revealed three in four patients are likely to keep a “mental scorecard” of everything they like and dislike about a doctor’s office. 79% of respondents place importance on things like timeliness and wait time. When deciding to stick with the same doctor, two-thirds also place importance on how personable and engaged their doctor is, and 39% have switched doctors because the office staff was not friendly.
The poll also asked respondents about their experiences with the technology used at their doctor’s office. ModMed published the results of the research in a comprehensive report, and produced a short interactive quiz — both of which were published to their website (see links below).
Together with our earned media partner, we crafted and distributed a news story and infographic from the survey data. The campaign achieved more than 85 pieces of coverage and over 7.5 million estimated coverage views.
